	Volunteer and Learn Spanish with El Paraiso Spanish School, Bocas Del Toro Panama is a cultural and natural paradise, but most travelers see only the large, touristy resorts. Our unique program in Bocas Del Toro enables you to combine Spanish language study with volunteer work. We have various volunteer projects to choose from in the islands. Whether you want to help the elderly, teach english to locals or help in one of the local schools, you are sure to have an amazing and memorable time in Bocas Del Toro, Panama. Visa Documentation: Most tourist visas are valid for up to 3 months. We recommend checking with your local Panamanian Consulate for the most up to date visa information. You are required to have a valid passport for at least 6 month to travel to Costa Rica and Panama as well as a plane or bus ticket out of the country We can offer you several opportunities to volunteer in Panama!   Volunteer in Bocas town while you study spanish at El Paraiso.   Teaching English to local residents Help local people learn English while you yourself are studying spanish with us. Knowing some Spanish is helpful but hardly necessary. Many Panamanians know at least some English, it is most beneficial to the "students" that the teacher only speak English. Lessons are given in a local church to a group of interested participants. - must have a teaching background - must have own teaching materials - minimum 4 weeks Working with the Elderly Lead residents at an elderly care center in various activities, help them cook, distribute food, teach English, and help them garden. Caring for the elderly helps create a compassionate and nurturing atmosphere at homes for the elderly and senior centers. Elderly people are sometimes the most neglected and abandoned group in society. Their access to basic services and income is severely restricted, and they often lack support groups. Community initiatives and organizations provide an opportunity for the elderly to receive one-on-one attention, learn new skills, and receive basic nutrition and healthcare. - minimum 2 weeks   Teaching aid in a local school or kindergarden. Helping teachers in class (ie: Math, Physics, English), conversing with students in english Students age: 12 to 17 years old Helping teachers in class, during playtime, serving food, hygiene maintenance, conversing with children Childrens age: 1 to 4 years old Pre-requisits: - some basic knowledge of spanish - dress code: not allowed to wear   shorts, short skirts, sleevless tops,   open  sandals or beach type clothing - minimum 2 weeks Combine any of the above 3 options with any Spanish program  A one time $ 50 fee applies.   El Paraiso Spanish School Manuel Antonio, Costa Rica
